Dr. Trent Sunderland graduated with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan Dental School in 2000. Having been born and raised in Saskatchewan he practiced for four years in Regina prior to settling out west in beautiful Vernon, BC with his wife Malinda and four children. Following a successful associateship, Dr Sunderland opened Sunderland Dental in December 2013 at 101 4010 27th Street.
Dr. Sunderland enjoys all aspects of dentistry and brings to his practice a positive energy and enthusiasm for his patients dental wellness and overall experience. He is a competent, gentle practitioner and exhibits exceptional skills with children, teens and scaredy cats.

Dr. Sunderland is dedicated to his continued education and has completed his certificate in Full Mouth Reconstruction to Optimal Dental Physiology and is actively enrolled with the International Straight Wire and Orthopedic study club.

Trent, as he is known to his patients and friends, is passionate about improving his patients smile, overall health and confidence. Whether it be conventional braces, invisalign or crown and bridge, he has the tools and training to create the smile you want. Trent has built his practice around developing relationships that last a lifetime. Whatever your needs are, Trent and his team can help you achieve optimal dental health.

I graduated from the CDA program at Okanagan College in June 2021 and joined Sunderland Dental soon after. I’m excited to learn and grow as part of a great dental team who believes that patients are priority. My goal is to try to make the experience as positive, comfortable and relaxing as possible. I love getting to know my patients and their stories and look forward to developing those connections!

I love getting to know all sorts of people with my job as a dental hygienist. My goal is to make everyone who sits in my chair feel relaxed and have a good experience through gentle and thorough dental hygiene care.

Getting to know our patients and helping them to feel relaxed and comfortable in our office is the best part of my job.  Knowing that every member of our team puts our patient first and provides the very best dental care possible, makes this office a great place to work.  Clearly explaining dental treatment options, finances with and without insurance and fitting that into a budget that gives optimal care without breaking the bank is what our administrative team specializes in.

As an Ortho Certified CDA, I have the privilege of working with all ages in the many different fields of dentistry. I enjoy getting to know and assisting our patients during their appointments. Sunderland Dental has a fantastic team who makes you feel welcomed to be around and I am so grateful to be apart of it.

I have enjoyed working in a dental setting for the last 17 years as a Certified Dental Assistant and Administrative Assistant. I am proud to be a part of the team at Sunderland Dental knowing that we all share a common goal of providing excellent dental care to our patients.

This position is a great pit stop along the way. I am hoping to expand my knowledge on how to best help people and to learn more about business.

I am here to assist with sterilization and am eager to expand my knowledge of the field as I work towards my goal of becoming a dental hygienist.
